| A
forehead lift is a cosmetic procedure performed
for the purpose of elevating the eyebrows
and correcting wrinkles in the forehead
area. The
procedure is usually performed on women between
the ages of 35 and 65. A forehead lift procedure
will achieve a more youthful balance of the
eyes, forehead and upper face. The eye area
is "opened" by elevating the eyebrow.
The aging of the upper third of the face is
reversed by reducing frown lines, hooding
over the eyes and forehead creases. A forehead
lift is sometimes done in conjunction with
an upper and/or lower eyelid blepharoplasty
(a procedure to remove excess skin and fat
from the upper and/or lower eyes) or a facelift
(rhytidectomy). Bruising and swelling from
this procedure is generally limited and stitches
are removed within 7 days of surgery. This procedure can also be done endoscopically. |
