breast lift is a cosmetic procedure typically
performed for the purpose of lifting sagging,
loose breasts that have lost volume and elasticity
after child bearing or with age. The procedure
will reshape the breasts to achieve a more
youthful appearance. Stretched, excess skin
is removed and the breasts are firmed and
repositioned. A mastopexy can be performed
in conjunction with a breast augmentation
to give the breasts a fuller appearance. This
procedure is generally performed on women
between the ages of 30-55 years of age. The
recovery time for this surgery is from 2-4
weeks with sutures being removed after one
week. In our practice, it is generally expected
that patients will be finished having their
children prior to undertaking this procedure.
